A hot June - nature and especially the trees in the streets are thirsty!
A young tree was recently planted right next to the main entrance to our HQ in Berlin.
We were very pleased, because urban green also largely determines the quality of life in the cities.
Berlin is one of the most tree-rich cities in Germany in relation to the number of inhabitants.
After the April weather left us in May, the sun is now burning from above in June and probably gives us one of the warmest and, unfortunately, also the driest June since then. Given the drought, the barren Berlin soil is a real challenge for the young tree, whose roots are not yet that deep.
And our young tree lets the leaves hang down…. Therefore we gave this tree 60 liters of water to drink today. We hope he will recover! After all, in a few years' it should provide us with shade with its magnificent canopy.
Perhaps you also have a street tree or a bush or other green near you, which can use one or the other bucket of water at the current temperatures?! Then go ahead and help preserve the urban green. This is good for all of us!
We look forward to your photos of the plants that you watered.
Trees and Green for future!
