February 24th, 2022 marks one of the darkest days in modern history.
War is raging only a good 1500 km from Germany – in Europe!
With today's post, we want to commemorate all employees and their families who work in moving companies, forwarding and transport companies of our colleagues in the Ukraine and can no longer start a Monday and thus a new week with routine work as usual in order to plan and handle national and international transports for their customers. Now they may have to seek shelter in bunkers, are on the run, organize supplies or even go to war personally, as we know from at least one personal contact.
In times like these, everyone realizes how great and precious everyday life in freedom and peace is.
Not only because the national flag of the Ukraine contains our company colors blue and yellow, we feel particularly connected with the people in the Ukraine who have to endure unbearable things these days. Just because we are a company with Berlin roots in Germany and had to experience times of war, including the times of the Cold War, and the suffering associated with it.
We hope that the human suffering that has recently been brought upon Ukraine, Europe and the world will have a speedy and happy ending.
The war must stop, now!
The masses of people demonstrating for peace on the streets of Europe, such as in Berlin, help to keep hope alive!
